Journey On Canvas Blog is a place to share what God has done in your life. It's also an invitation to share your God story and receive the God stories of others. As we share our testimonies of God's faithfullness we are reminded that God has always been present on our journey. As we hear someone else's story we remember that God is with all of us as we journey. This act of giving and receiving each others God stories is the gift of sharing and the opportunity that the Journey On Canvas Blog offers all of us. You can also use this blog to ask questions, get suggestions and listen in on many discussions. We invite you to join in on the discussions, start a discussion or just sit back and follow along. It is our hope that this blog will inspire you to find a way to tell your story. This blog is a great place to begin exploring the ways you might choose to share.

True Story Memoir: How Can You Help Others Share?
By alisa on 6/30/2010 3:37 PM
I believe true life stories have power. I want our stories to reach out to others who have had experiences much like ours. If we share, our journey can breathe life into the lives of those it is meant for. Then we will have unleashed the true power of our story: the power to touch, change and enrich lives with our life.

Spiritual Autobiography Connects Us to Each Other and God
By alisa on 5/13/2010 12:33 PM
Tell my story? How can I do that? Where do I begin? It’s my mission to encourage people to offer their testimonies as a source of hope to others. It’s also my mission to reveal the power your story has to encourage you! Finally, I seek to offer people places to share their God story. This blog is just one of those places. 152 people visited this blog just this past week. That’s 152 potential opportunities for you to reach someone with your God story. If you have a testimony, share it here. Someone needs to hear your story.

Using Art to Deal and Heal
By alisa on 4/29/2010 4:03 PM
I’m having a hard time “dealing” with today. I don’t like the deal. The deal is that my kid is sick and I’ve been praying for him for 5 years. Today he’s sicker than ever. The doctors don’t know what’s wrong and God seems silent. I’m sad and I’m losing hope.

Today I'll Be Using Art to Heal
By alisa on 4/19/2010 11:13 AM
Today is kinda a down day. I just want to eat every carb I can get my hands on. My head is stuffed up, I’m sluggish and I’m fighting the desire to go back to bed. I’m at odds with someone I love very much and it’s getting at me on every level: physical, emotional and spiritual. I need to heal and get a new perspective. If I just sit in it I’ll be in the same mess I’m in right now when tomorrow comes. Somehow I need to pull out of it. What can I do?

Celebrate the Healing Power of Art!
By alisa on 3/13/2010 5:21 PM
I love how we all have different ways of sharing our story. That's why I was excited when I recently learned about Manhattan Arts International's Healing Power of Art Campaign. Its a campaign that celebrates art that tells a story of healing. It's art that has a message and it's an important one!

Telling Our Story:

Our life is a gift for others!

Womb
Age 28

I want to give Emily desire even more than I desire her to paint. It’s the desire to share her story that I really want to give to her. It’s her story that has the real power. Painting just helps her tell it. Maybe Emily will tell her story, but she’ll tell it differently than I have? Maybe she won’t paint but she’ll still find another way to give her story a voice? Then her life could touch people, reach out to them and encourage. That would make her life a gift for others. I’d be so incredibly proud.
